Well, actually, I don’t have the unlimited right to say whatever I want to say and expect no hassle or push back from it. I don’t have the right to claim free speech as a defense if I start screaming “run there’s a gun” in a crowded hallway and a panic ensues; I don’t have the right to encourage people to beat up someone standing just in front of us because I want to. Or, put a different way, I can’t claim that I should not be prosecuted for inciting violence on the grounds that I was just exercising my free speech rights.
So, umm, no: no right is absolute. Not free speech. Not gun owning.
Unfortunately, stupidity seems in endless supply.
