When you know you're not man enough to attract attention simply by riding your motorcycle through town, why not attract that attention, prove how manly you are, and make a target of yourself for OTHER gun nuts by strapping a dangerous looking weapon across your back. Of course, the possibility of being attacked and having the weapon stolen, then turned on YOU never crosses your mind, because you da MAN!
