Disrespecting faith...

Certainly there are those of faith who are reasonable people, but in order to achieve that state of mind, they must mentally rewrite a lot of their religious books. Yes, there are statements about love and respect in those books, but there is also quite a bit of violence and hate. You have to pick and choose.  Some people pick the WORST of the stuff to believe in. How can we be sure which side of the religion any one person is on?
