The Republican straw men

Republicans have an incredible ability to create straw men to argue over - straw men like the lazy no-good-for-nothing slacker who does not work, yet drives a  Cadillac and lives in a Beverly Hills mansion by drawing food stamps and a housing allowance. Of course, the truth is that people on welfare get about $4.50 a day for food and the housing allowance allows for slum dwelling only, but the truth is not what is important. What is important to the conservative is that someone else is getting something they aren't getting.
