Political discourse

It has always seemed to me, from my loft perch on the left side of the tree, that Democratic discourse is more intelligent and more civil than the discourse we hear from the right side of the tree. Could it be my bias? Perhaps. But even if my perception is shaded just a little bit by my political beliefs, there's still a lot of room on my side of the tree to be correct.
