Did God give humans the tools to destroy his earth?

I mean, seriously, if you believe in this almighty, all-powerful God that created EVERYTHING, and helps you out with EVERYTHING (including finding your car keys), then why is he allowing us to destroy this planet? It is truly a failure of logic.
