Obfuscation
When there's an issue to be discussed, Republicans have become masters at directing your attention elsewhere. Ask a question about tax payer subsidies to some of America's largest, wealthiest corporations (oil) and within 30 seconds a Republican spokesperson will have you focused on the cost of food stamps. If you don't believe me, watch one of the Sunday morning talk shows and just count the number of times that a Republican will NOT give a direct answer to a question.
