I've talked about this issue since shortly after I started this blog. It's a little stated fact that President Bush has intended, from the get-go, to maintain a permanent military force in Iraq as a staging ground for U.S. forces as a part of a strategic defense. This will anger Muslims for generations to come. Now Hillary weighs in on the matter, and for me, she's no longer a Presidential candidate I can support.
From the New York Times - read the whole article here..WASHINGTON, March 14 — Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton foresees a “remaining military as well as political mission” in Iraq , and says that if elected president, she would keep a reduced but significant military force there to fight Al Qaeda , deter Iranian aggression, protect the Kurds and possibly support the Iraqi military.
