Heading for the Life Boats
No one is sure how many Iraqis have died since the U.S. invaded. Last year there was talk of 100,000 or more. But the number is high - very high. And life in Iraq may be worse now that when Saddam was running the show.
On top of all of the other issues, many of those who could provide the capital to repair the war-torn nation, and many of those who could serve as the trained, educated workforce, in other words, the middle class, are departing Iraq in droves.
