Following the polls.

Robert Reich

You know how skeptical I am about political polls. Still, I wanted to share with you the latest CBS/New York Times poll because it highlights two interesting phenomena:

1. 57 percent of voters view Trump unfavorably, compared to 24 percent who view him favorably. 52 percent view Hillary Clinton unfavorably, compared to 31 percent who view her favorably. Those are the largest negative ratings for the putative front runners of either party in the last 32 years, when CBS began polling voters on the question.

2. In a hypothetical Clinton-Trump election contest, Clinton wins by 10 points. In a hypothetical Sanders-Trump election, Bernie beats Trump by 15 points.
