1. It is primarily Republicans in Congress who are blocking additional aid for our veterans. They have specifically blocked bills which would have poured more money into veterans' programs and the VA hospitals, all the while blocking and attempting to cut other social programs (food stamps, HEAP, minimum wage increases, Medicaid, etc.) that would also benefit low-wage veterans.
2. The money spent on helping immigrant children fleeing violence and drugs in their own countries is NOT taking money out of veterans programs. Again, it is Republican votes in Congress that are doing that. (See #1)
