Religious imagery and commentary from a realists point of view

Trying to help folks understand how science works and why it consistently trumps religion.

If Islam is a religion of peace, why are there so many Muslims who are ready to do harm to others?

In order for mankind to advance to its highest levels, we must first block the naysayers.

Brad Pitt is another realist when it comes to religion.

Science will lead us to answers about the beginning of the universe and life.

Gloria Steinem has a thought about religion.

Hey, Christians! Here's a challenge for you - and those of us without your faith hope that millions of you participate.

Giving credit to God for life saving skills developed through years of research and study must piss off doctors and nurses on a daily basis.

Sorry to disagree, Jon, but religious insanity goes back thousands of years before Adam and Eve.

There's always someone ready to tell you why your prayers weren't answered today.

What are YOU praying for today?

Love makes the world go 'round and the stupid words you find in the Bible do not diminish it - it only makes those who preach those words look stupid.

Political imagery and commentary - liberal style

The vocal members of the Tea Party.

Rush Limbaugh - blow hard and liar.

So, Republicans DO support health care mandates!

Who runs up the deficits?

Republicans want you and government out of their hair so they can make more profits, no matter how unethical their practices.

Why is American Health Care so expensive? Because it is in the hands of people who want to make a profit from it.

Republican politics is almost entirely about selfishness.

The wealthy have no clue what it is like to live as a middle class American.

If you're a fan of America, Citizens United is one of the worst possible decisons by a Supreme Court - ever.

Thie is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Romney's lies.

This is fun to visualize, but to be honest - all of the Presidential candidates do this.

Mitt Romney seems to be lacking in likable traits - either in his mannerisms or in his speech.

A conservative meme...

Political imagery and commentary

What religion SHOULD be teaching us about our difficult economic times.

A letter that should be written and re-written every day.

And this is just a small part of the reason, as a progressive, that I won't donate a nickle to his campaign.

When it comes to polling, the manner in which the question is asked is of paramount importance.

Why is this guy still relevant? He's already proven himself to be out of tune.

I hear that, Cher!

CNN - I hardly tune them in any more because they have become so poorly run. They really, really need some new management and a new mission statement that has them reporting the news 24/7, not just parroting Fox.

Jon Stewart has a great way of illustrating Fox News.

The right -wing has a short term memory loss when it comes to their own actions. Also remember Part D for Medicare which they supported, passed and failed to fund? I hoe so, because they forgot about it.

This rather the way I feel about discussions with conservatives.

I don't care which side of the political debates you are on - stupid is stupid.

A poem from a victim to the right-to-lifers

Religion works by instilling fear

First Lady greets visitors touring the White House

You probably don't want to watch all of this (It's VERY long), but it's a neat gesture on the part of the First Lady.

Obama campaign apologizes to the Rmoney

Fun facts from the Bible

Since America's religious leaders want to have a profound effect on our government, and therefore our laws, we need to understand what it is they using as the source code for their determination of "must-have" morality.

Romney gets a tepid response when proposing censorship.

Religious imagery and commentary from a skeptic

Damn - and I wanted to wear one of those ugly hats!

When religion is used to subjugate our freedoms, it is no friend of democracy.

Freedom of religion does not mean the same thing to all of us.

The most perverted among us hide behind the skirts of religion - making religion seem all the more ludicrous. If there was a God who held sacred one of his religions, why would he allow this?

Making sense of the Catholic Church - but it can't be done.

One really has to stretch the boundaries of rationality in order to believe in the Bible.

Atheism v.s religion - confused by the beginning.

Christian logic in the modern world - there is none.

Labeling the Bible.

Some religious beliefs are just outlandishly stupid.

And the explanations is that "God works in mysterious ways" because there is no good explanation for this inequity.

Isaac Asimov comments on the unfounded assumptions about the existence of God.
