The Republicans are proud of the beauty and youth their women have to offer - they feature legs and boobs prominently on Fox News all the time. I'd like to make a point, however. They might do better if they featured some women of intelligence (not saying there aren't any with both looks and brains, but they are focusing WAY too much on just the looks.)

Also, it is known publicly that Trig Palin indeed has Down Syndrome. Science has no way to undo this condition, which is the result of an extra chromosome; but God can. When Trig Palin is found to be miraculously healed, everyone but the most hardened atheist will have to acknowledge God's Majesty!

Governor Sarah Palin, who ran for Vice President on John McCain's Republican ticket, is doing her part to do just that. For example, she has invited the men who defeated her, Barack Obama and Joe Biden, to visit her great state of Alaska, now that she has more time after resigning from her post.

To celebrate her new-found freedom from the toils of office, she has set up a moose hunting trip for their enjoyment and hired three prominent experts in their field to assist them:

# Dick Cheney will lead them on the hunt

# Ted Kennedy will drive them back to their cabins each evening, and

# Bill Clinton will entertain their wives and daughters.

Bristol Palin: Abstinence Doesn't Work

A couple of posts ago I referenced a Crooks and Liars piece about Bristol and Sarah Palin on Greta Von Sustern's show on Fox which featured Sarah trying to control the interview. The video below completes the picture and features Bristol's quotes about abstinence-only sex education which are in conflict with her mother's views.

I only point this out because abstinence-only sex ed is such a retarded idea.

Why does it bear repeating that the entire Republican Party is completely out of touch with reality?

It's understandable that some critics of the Left think we progressives have an unhealthy hatred/fascination with the Palin family. And certainly, the children of former vice-presidential candidates are off-limits ... except when they are willingly interviewed by Greta Van Susteren at FOX News.

But the big "news" of the interview is that, gasp, Bristol Palin thinks "everyone should be abstinent but it's not realistic... [sex] is more and more accepted among kids my age."

Hypocrisy - A Basic Tenet of the Republican Party

Do you get it? Hate gays - have a gay daughter. Promote abstinence-only sex-education for teens and have a teen-age daughter, still in high school, get pregnant out of wedlock. This stuff always comes back to bite you in the ass - it's just always better to be tolerant - at least then you don't look like a fool.

A clip from the newest interview with Sara Palin has been all over the teevee and Internet tubes of late and I'd bet you've seen it. Sarah was interviewed by Jon Ziegler for a documentary to be called Media Malpractice - How Obama Got Elected. Here it is on You Tube, in case you haven't seen it before...

Well, David Shuster had an interview with Ziegler and it was VERY interesting. Who's David Shuster? This guy...

David Shuster was named anchor of MSNBC's "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue" in December 2008. The Emmy award-winning journalist has covered the nation's capitol for 16 years and is based in Washington, D.C.

Despite having filmed the segment above, and despite having released a segment of it on You Tube, Ziegler still believes Palin was assassinated by the press - and that's part of the reason that Palin-McCain lost the election. I watched Ziegler's video above AGAIN and it's clear that neither Palin nor Zeigler understand just how dopey the woman is.

Bristol Palin's Future Mother-in_Law (?) Arrested on Drug Charges

God bless, I'll never get over the hypocritical, do-as-I-say but not as-I-do, attitude of the Republicans. Wage a war on drug abuse instead of treating users as victims, and then get arrested for the very things you preach against. Damn, it is just so obvious how superior these folks think they are.

And do you REALLY think that Bristol and Levi will ever get married? I doubt it. More hypocrisy as Bristol tries to raise the child in a single-parent family.

WASILLA -- A 42-year-old Wasilla woman was arrested Thursday at her home by Alaska State Troopers with a search warrant in an undercover drug investigation. Sherry L. Johnston was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.

Johnston is the mother of Levi Johnston, the Wasilla 18-year-old who received international attention in September when Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, announced their teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Bristol Palin, 18, is due on Saturday, according to a recent interview with the governor's father, Chuck Heath.
