• 3 out of 5 Americans are living paycheck to paycheck

• 43 percent of Americans can't afford a monthly budget that includes housing, food, child care, health care, transportation and a cell phone

• About half of older Americans have no retirement savings

• The U.S. has the highest infant mortality rate, the highest incarceration rate, the highest obesity rate, and the most extreme income inequality of any major country on earth.

Our job: Create an economy that works for all of us, not just the top 1 percent.
