John Kelly Is Reportedly Done Taking Abuse from President Trump

The president went one tantrum too far.

White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is reportedly reaching the end of his patience with President Donald Trump.

A New York Times report says Kelly was extremely upset about a "dressing down" he received from Trump. "[H]e later told other White House staff members that he had never been spoken to like that during 35 years of serving his country," the Times continues.

The paper describes Trump as possessing a "volcanic resentment" about being managed. And Kelly's role does seem to involve a heavy dose of babysitting.

Among Kelly's more thankless jobs is weeding out the right-wing propaganda articles presented to Trump on paper. The president recently asked a friend where The Daily Caller and Breitbart went after Kelly apparently wouldn't let him read those anymore.

Aides are concerned that Trump's abuse is negatively impacting Kelly's "state of mind" about continuing with the job. An ominous passage explains Kelly told multiple people he "will not abide" the president's bad behavior toward him in the future.

Some aides believe Kelly may resign within a month's time because of the president's erratic and volatile nature.

Kelly declined comment to the Times for the piece.
