Snicker

Remember - the following is a statistic - it is "on" average and doesn't mean everyone...

ABC News reports:
Scientists at the University of California at Berkeley analyzed a person’s rank in society (measured by wealth, occupational prestige and education) and found that those who were richer were more likely to cheat, lie and break the law than those who were poorer.

“We found that it is much more prevalent for people in the higher ranks of society to see greed and self-interest … as good pursuits,” said Paul Piff, lead author of the study and a doctoral candidate at Berkeley. “This resonates with a lot of current events these days.”

Where Do They Get Off?

I don't know if this lady is a Democrat or a Republican - it doesn't matter. I just don't know why, at whatever level of government we are discussing, there seems to be more than a fair share of our elected officials who are just flat-out stupid cheats.

Sennett, NY -- Karen Green, the Sennett assessment review board chairwoman who came under fire this week because she has not paid any property taxes since 1999, has resigned from the board, town Supervisor David Sikora said today.

Did You Know - Henry Hyde

In 1998, Republican Henry Hyde was serving as the Chair of the House Judiciary Committee and vigorously leading the charge for the impeachment of President Bill Clinton over the President's alleged sexual indiscretions and subsequent cover-up. Not so surprisingly, it also came to light during this time that Rep. Henry Hyde had a five-year-long affair with a married woman that eventually led to the woman's divorce. Henry Hyde tried to cover-up the affair. He dismissed his sexual congress with a woman who was someone else's wife by declaring that it was a "youthful indiscretion" even though he was in his 40's when the affair took place.

Yeah, though shall ye protest the behavior of others, so shall ye cheat and steal and it be okay: Proverb of the Moral Majority.
