If you want a snapshot of much that is wrong in this up is down, down is up American moment, you can just look at three headlines on the front page of today's New York Times.
- E.P.A. ANNOUNCES BID TO ROLL BACK EMISSIONS POLICY - "WAR ON COAL IS OVER"
- China Hastens A Global Move To Electric Cars
- Wildfires Sweep Through Northern California, Killing at Least 10

Americans were once, and I believe continue to be, a people intent on building a brighter and better future. We have been united by a "can do" spirit. We have been audacious. We are dreamers. I wonder if the time for this issue to finally galvanize a national political movement has arrived. Will climate change and energy policy move the voting masses to say enough is enough?
