How will Donald Trump persuade Turkey to fight ISIS? 'Meetings'

There are many, many aspects of Donald Trump’s terrifying new interview with the New York Times that merit detailed dissection—chief among them his stated willingness to abrogate our duty to defend our NATO allies if they're ever attacked—but this moment truly stands out:

Mr. Trump said he was convinced that he could persuade [Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip] Erdogan to put more effort into fighting the Islamic State. But the Obama administration has run up, daily, against the reality that the Kurds—among the most effective forces the United States is supporting against the Islamic State—are being attacked by Turkey, which fears they will create a breakaway nation.

Asked how he would solve that problem, Mr. Trump paused, then said: "Meetings."

Meetings.

Republicans might think the convention in Cleveland is an absolute freaking disaster, and it is. But it’ll feel like a candlelit massage in comparison to what’s gonna happen when Hillary Clinton gets her hands on this ignorant gasbag in the debates.
