Here comes the straw man again.
There are probably no more than a relative handful of Americans who want to take guns away from law abiding citizens. The damn conservatives are NOT reading the news or looking at the facts - most rational Americans want background checks on all gun buyers. We want the mentally ill and people who have a criminal past to be denied access to guns. THAT's the argument, not the one they are making up.
