Bristol Palin's Future Mother-in_Law (?) Arrested on Drug Charges

God bless, I'll never get over the hypocritical, do-as-I-say but not as-I-do, attitude of the Republicans. Wage a war on drug abuse instead of treating users as victims, and then get arrested for the very things you preach against. Damn, it is just so obvious how superior these folks think they are.
And do you REALLY think that Bristol and Levi will ever get married? I doubt it. More hypocrisy as Bristol tries to raise the child in a single-parent family.
Read more at the Anchorage Daily NewsWASILLA -- A 42-year-old Wasilla woman was arrested Thursday at her home by Alaska State Troopers with a search warrant in an undercover drug investigation. Sherry L. Johnston was charged with six felony counts of misconduct involving a controlled substance.
Johnston is the mother of Levi Johnston, the Wasilla 18-year-old who received international attention in September when Gov. Sarah Palin and her husband, Todd, announced their teenage daughter was pregnant and he was the father. Bristol Palin, 18, is due on Saturday, according to a recent interview with the governor's father, Chuck Heath.

Sick In The Head
The following is from leighvalleylive.com in New Jersey...
Adolf Hitler Campbell -- it's indeed the name on his birth certificate -- turns 3 today, and the Campbell family believes the boy has been mistreated. A local supermarket refused to make a birthday cake with "Adolf Hitler" on it.

Supreme Court Overturns Bush v. Gore

The Onion reports on one of most monumental rulings by the nation's highest court in the entire history of mankind. The first paragraph...
WASHINGTON—In an unexpected judicial turnaround, the Supreme Court this week reversed its 2000 ruling in the landmark case of Bush v. Gore, stripping George W. Bush of his earlier political victory, and declaring Albert Arnold Gore the 43rd president of the United States of America.Read more by clicking here.

Bush Hates the U.S.
ECONOMY -- BUSH'S IRS QUIETLY SLASHING CORPORATE TAXES: In its final days in office, the Bush administration is looking to push through about "about 20 highly contentious rules," that weaken health care and workers' rights and degrade the environment. The administration is also making sure to wreck the tax system on its way out the door. Time
Magazine's Stephen Gandel reported that in the past year, the Internal Revenue Service has been "unusually aggressive in doing what it can to lower corporate taxes, going above and beyond what has been allowed in the past." In 2008, the IRS has issued 113 notices, "many of which will lower the taxes companies will pay this year and in the future." Gandel noted that this number breaks the record of 111 notices, set in 2006, "and is nearly double the 65 issued in the last year of Bill Clinton's presidency." These changes "drain billions of dollars of badly needed tax revenue at a time when the federal deficit is mushrooming," and many of the changes "may lower corporate tax revenue for years to come." One proposed change would enable companies to significantly reduce their taxes for as long as 20 years.

The Bible On Marriage

The very liberal me coming out again.
Those who oppose gay marriage on the basis of what the Christian Bible says about marriage had better be careful. Are they really ready to play by Biblical rules?
gladkov, in posting a comment over at Daily Kos (here's the link), says the following is an oldy but goodie, but it is new to me...
A. Marriage in the United States shall consist of a union between one man and one or more women. (Gen 29:17-28; II Sam 3:2-5)
B. Marriage shall not impede a man's right to take concubines in addition to his wife or wives. (II Sam 5:13; I Kings 11:3; II Chron 11:21)
C. A marriage shall be considered valid only if the wife is a virgin. If the wife is not a virgin, she shall be executed. (Deut 22:13-21)
D. Marriage of a believer and a non-believer shall be forbidden. (Gen 24:3; Num 25:1-9; Ezra 9:12; Neh 10:30)
E. Since marriage is for life, neither this Constitution nor the constitution of any State, nor any state or federal law, shall be construed to permit divorce. (Deut 22:19; Mark 10:9)
F. If a married man dies without children, his brother shall marry the widow. If he refuses to marry his brother's widow or deliberately does not give her children, he shall pay a fine of one shoe and be otherwise punished in a manner to be determined by law. (Gen 38:6-10; Deut 25:5-10)
G. In lieu of marriage, if there are no acceptable men in your town, it is required that you get your dad drunk and have sex with him (even if he had previously offered you up as a sex toy to men young and old), tag-teaming with any sisters you may have. Of course, this rule applies only if you are female. (Gen 19:31-36)
Ronald Reagan divorced the mother of two of his children to marry Nancy, who bore him a daughter only 7 months after the wedding.
Bob Dole divorced his child's mother, who had nursed him through the long recovery from his war wounds.
Newt Gingrich divorced his wife who was dying of cancer.
Rush Limbaugh: Limbaugh and his current wife Marta have 6 marriages and 4 divorces between them.
Bob Barr of Georgia: Barr had been married 3 times before he had the audacity as representative to author and push the "Defense of Marriage Act." The joke making the rounds on Capitol Hill was, "Bob, which marriage are you defending?"
And there's more of this over on Toward Equality.
For what it's worth (and I'm proud of it), the only woman I've ever been married to and I will have been married 40 years come next July.

A Democrat Is a Crook
As a result, I hope this bastard gets ten times as much time in the slammer as any Republican would get.
From Where's The Outrage...FBI agents this morning arrested Illinois Gov. Rod R. Blagojevich (D) and his chief of staff on conspiracy and bribery charges, including allegations that the governor was seeking to benefit financially from his appointment of a successor to the U.S. Senate seat that was vacated by President-elect Barack Obama.
The arrest of Blagojevich, 51, and his top aide, John Harris, 46, capped a lengthy investigation into public corruption at the highest levels of state government.
