Today, Putin is meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. Macron’s invitation to Putin was a surprise after his tough stance on Russia during the French election. But, hey, if Trump is going to shaft Europe, Europe has to seek friends wherever it can. (Notice the lack of white knuckles in the photo below.)
Yesterday, German Chancellor Angela Merkel urged European Union nations to stick together in the face of emerging policy divisions with the U.S.
Trump's “making America great again” apparently means making Russia more influential again.
