Sloganeering like the conservatives

Banning guns and banning abortions are different issues, so I'm not sure the sloganeering below is in the best interests of liberals. I hold the opposite position on both issues described and it would take a lot of deep explaining to make clear why this isn't inconsistent. I post this because it is typical of the kind of easy logic the right would use, but it's probably beyond those with some intellectual capacity.

Rights for the unborn, bupkiss for the born.

It'a all about priorities

It's all giggles and shits until someone shits and giggles. Or, as North Dakota says it, it's all guns and babies until it's your family member that gets shot or your daughter carrying an unwanted baby. You only hurt the ones you love.

Sanctity of life?

He's absolutely right - if you buy into the whole God thing.

Republicans want a smaller government - or so they lie.

In all honesty, 50 miles is not far to travel for ANY medical procedure. However, the restrictions on abortions are becoming burdensome for many people...

Abortions are more frequent among the poor

Which makes a lot of sense - they often can't afford contraception and so they get unwanted pregnancies more often and, once pregnant, they often realize that they can't afford to care for a child. Nothing new here, really.
