Atheists: An excellent documentary
The history channel ran, this past week, a two-part documentary on some of the history of the Bible and the random nature in which it was pieced together from hundreds, if not thousands of ancient texts.
I have discovered this documentary on You Tube in a single video (1 hour and 30 minutes).
As an afterthought, I'd like to point out that the significant number of books regarding the people and fables of that period of time remind me very much of the fan fiction of today surrounding popular fictional characters like Harry Potter. I suspect there existed fables about such people as saviors and prophets which then got turned into hundreds of novels of imagined events and then became "gospel" forgive the pun) to those looking for religion.
