This morning in a fit of enraged nonsense Trump lobbed an unprovoked attack on Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough, saying that the former Republican Congressman should be investigated for a 16-year-old death turned right wing conspiracy.
Now, Scarborough is responding — albeit begrudgingly. (Tweet below.)
Trump’s morning tweet read, “And will [NBC] terminate low ratings Joe Scarborough based on the “unsolved mystery” that took place in Florida years ago? Investigate!
The “unsolved mystery” is anything but. In Scarborough’s final months in office in 2001, 28-year-old staffer Lori Klausutis, who tragically died at work. The St. Petersburg Times reported in August of that year that Klausutis had “told a co-worker on July 19 that she was not feeling well….lost consciousness because of an abnormal heart rhythm and fell, hitting her head on a desk. The head injury caused the death, [Medical Examiner Dr. Michael] Berkland said.”
None of that information mattered to Trump — in fact, no information matters to this president if it cannot be manipulated into some perceived advantage.
The absurd accusation came the day after Scarborough announced on Twitter “I took down my Trump tweets yesterday after deciding my responses should be about policy and not personality.”
This, however demanded a response. And Scarborough did not disappoint, refusing to dignify the accusation and instead, focusing on its demented source.
Well said, Mr. Scarborough. Sad but blatantly true: The President of the United States is not well by a long shot.
Joe Scarborough

Looks like I picked a good day to stop responding to Trump's bizarre tweets. He is not well. https://twitter.com/joenbc/status/935575872081399808 …
