On Big Pine Key and Cudjoe Key, at least 25 percent of homes have been completely destroyed and many more seriously damaged while people the length of Florida are dealing with a lack of power. Across the Gulf, Texas is barely starting to recover from the damage of historic floods that have left many homes uninhabitable and streets strewn with sodden debris. In this moment of national crisis, Donald Trump has called for swift action. Because all across America, people are saying “What can we do for our poor billionaires and corporations?”
xWhen the economy is doing poorly, Republicans call for tax cuts. When the economy is doing well, Republicans call for tax cuts. Tax cuts long been the universal conservative answer to any problem—because for conservatives, the idea that government has enough money to operate at all is the problem.
With Irma and Harvey devastation, Tax Cuts and Tax Reform is needed more than ever before. Go Congress, go!

But Donald Trump has extended the super powers of tax cuts to realms previously unseen. Realms that even their most ardent conservative supporters never suspected. Apparently, given enough tax cuts, the wealthy and corporations will spontaneously generate new homes, operate shelters, and maybe clean up their own chemical spills. If only Congress can move fast, fast, fast.
xRight now there are certain to be people standing up to their knees in water, muck, and the rubble that used to be their homes, and they are all crying out — please hurry up with those tax cuts!
The approval process for the biggest Tax Cut & Tax Reform package in the history of our country will soon begin. Move fast Congress!
