Libertarianism - a shot in the dark.

It's ironic that this (poster below) popped up on my screen today - just 2 days ago I was trying to do a little Google research as to whether there had ever been a nation of significant size that had survived as a libertarian society. I couldn't find anything. 

If the Koch Brothers/Rand Paul groups are successful we would be one huge experiment. But I do believe that nature abhors a vacuum - I'd guess if we did away with our secular government, religious zealots would move to fill the void and we would wind up with a religious theocracy that would rule our lives far more stringently than we are ruled now.
