Guns - an obsession for some

One thing that is absolutely fascinating about the NRA's position on gun ownership - that everyone should be able to own guns without restriction - is that it exacerbates the very problem they are worried about. By refusing to support background checks, more guns get into the hands of the bad guys and that generates more fear among the NRA members, so they have all the more reason to buy more guns. Self-perpetuating policy - those are the words I've been looking for.
