One of the biggest problems we have is with widespread gun ownership among people who don't need a gun. Once they OWN a gun, there is a need to USE the gun. And so they clean their guns; they show off their guns; they carry their guns around with them in a holster or in their pants; they go to shooting ranges; and they are drawn to use their guns (that's why they bought them) at the least sign of trouble, even if the trouble isn't worth the cost of a human life. Such a shame.
