Tennessee judge makes a religious ruling

Christians have a holier-than-thou feeling about the world. Damn the law - damn the separation of church and state - if you are a Christian you are allowed to judge everyone, despite what it says in the Bible - Judge not lest ye be judged - Matthew.

A judge in Tennessee, ruling in the case of two separated parents over the last name of their child, decided she didn't like the first name they had given him - Messiah - so she unilaterally changed it to Martin. Despite the fact that Messiah was the 387th most common name given to children in 2012 - and despite the fact that lots of parents name their children Jesus.

I hope - I really hope - that the parents appeal - and that they file a complaint of judicial misconduct against this interfering asshole.
