Will things change?

Are conservatives pissing off enough people that more centrists and liberals will be elected? In a recent poll, Nate Silver (prognosticator extraordinaire) recently said the current polls show Republicans gaining as many as 4 or 5 seats in the Senate in 2014 - giving them a possible majority. I want to cry for us.
