Five year old boy shot and killed his two-year-old sister with his favorite birthday present ever - a rifle.
So, the sheriff called it "a crazy accident". Really? REALLY? This incident, including the sheriff's statement, is so wrong on so many levels.
Let's see: A five-year-old child was given a "Beginner Rifle" as a birthday present. He was allowed to play with it on a whim. As he is "playing" with his new, best "toy" ever, he shoots and kills his two-year-old sister.
The mother of these children was present in the home at the time. The responding sheriff called it one of those "crazy accidents".
I think we all can dissect these circumstances and see that this was no "accident". To me, these parents should be arrested and charged with negligent homicide and child endangerment. They should also be sent to a psychiatric facility and lose custody of their children. That's not all I think they deserve, but I will keep that to myself.
This blog will focus on political images I have found all around the Internet, though I will intersperse some commentary and quotes that I find interesting.
