According to reports filed Sunday evening with the Federal Election Commission, the financial billionaire George Soros in December donated $6 million to Priorities USA Action -- the leading super PAC supporting Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. That brought to $8 million Soro’s total 2015 giving to pro-Clinton groups. According to emails released last month by the State Department. Soros said he regretted supporting Obama over Clinton in the 2008 primaries and praised Clinton for giving him an open door to discuss policy.
Soros has done some truly marvelous work around the world promoting what he calls “open societies.” But putting that much money into a Democratic primary campaign may be more consistent with a closed society than an open one.
