Militia in fear that Hillary will grab guns, or ISIS will get them, or ... really, there's just fear

A lot of people voting for Trump want to burn down the system. For some, that blaze is purely metaphorical—a new broom, etc.—but for others genuine disaster isn’t something they dread, it’s something they anticipate, plan for, welcome.

It’s really little wonder that camo-wearing militia fanatics are attracted to Trump’s chaos. But even they are starting to realize that he just might lose—and it terrifies them.

The Georgia Security Force is one of scores of extremist militias nationwide that have rallied around the presidential campaign of Donald J. Trump, heartened by his harsh attacks on immigrants, Muslims and Syrian refugees. But no single issue motivates militiamen more than guns — and the enduring belief that Hillary Clinton is plotting to take them away.
What could be more American than a group united by bigotry and violence?

The Georgia militiamen mobilized in the piney woods here last weekend to fire weapons and train for the day when, they believe, they will be forced to defend what they call “our way of life.” …

“We thought it was bad under eight years of Obama, but the gun-grabbing is going to get a whole lot worse if Hillary gets elected,” said Chris Hill, 42, a blond-bearded paralegal who goes by the code name Blood Agent and commands the militia.
Now you’re talking, Captain Blood. President Obama signed laws that took away … I mean, he restricted … he … uh, okay, so the only gun laws Obama signed were those that reduced limitations on guns, including allowing guns to be carried in national parks and on trains. That park one reversed a law from that noted liberal, Ronald Reagan. The train one rolled back the assault on weapons by George W. Bush. It was brutal.
