Report: Jeb Bush Campaign Paid $2,800 For Every Vote In Iowa

Jeb Bush's sixth place finish in Iowa came with a shocking price tag.

He may have only amassed 2.8 percent of the vote among Iowa caucusgoers Monday night, but he paid $2,800 for each vote, according to a tabulation compiled by the Huffington Post.

Bush doled out more money on ads in Iowa than any other Republican candidate, the Huffington Post reported using ad data available via Morning Consult. Between the official campaign and the super PAC Right to Rise, the Bush machine invested more than $14 million on advertising in Iowa.

The Huffington Post also notes that Bush spent 10 times what Rubio did per vote, 34 times what Donald Trump spent and 18 times as much as Ted Cruz, who won the caucuses Monday.

So to recount, that is a rough night for Jeb Bush even if his campaign is claiming it had already pivoted its attention to New Hampshire.
